Abstract
We introduced the transmitted reference (TR) architecture into the chirp Ultra-wideband (UWB) system in this paper, and at the base of the transmitted reference Impulse-Radio (IR) UWB system architecture, we proposed a time-domain and a code-domain transmitted reference Chirp-UWB system architecture. With mathematical deduction and performance simulation, it showed that transmitted reference Chirp-UWB system maintains the technical advantages in Chirp-UWB system such as high transmit efficiency, flexible frequency spectrum design and easy implementation of matching detection. Furthermore, the system has the technical advantages coherent in transmitted reference architecture such as simple architecture, low power consumption, fast and easy synchronization, and being free of channel estimation. So, it can be regarded as an ideal solution for the middle-low rate UWB wireless transmission.
