Abstract
Analysis of solar noise storms (NS) has shown that the total existence time and the energy of all short NS bursts with duration of 0.2-0.4 s are 5 times less than the total time and energy of longer bursts and contains only about 2-5 % of NS bursts energy. Thus, the measurement of emission time and burst energy do not confirm widespread opinion that NS consists of short-lived type I bursts
