When internet became a trend, the web directory became popular quickly on browsers as home page especially in China. Hao123.com is the earliest and famous one. From the year 2000, all kinds of web directories appeared online after hao123.com. The activity of Google and Baidu purchasing websites with web directory service in China accelerated the coming up of such type of websites. This paper analyzed the problems and characters of Chinese version web directories.
