Abstract
Electricity is one of the most important energy sources used for the production of cement. Cement plants are, in fact, one of the largest consumers of electricity and are representative of the trend in Italian industrial production. Italcementi, the first producer of cement in Italy and Europe and one of the largest in the world, attaches great importance to the energy of all kinds required in the production of cement. The purpose of this document is to demonstrate the importance which the Italcementi Group in general, and Italcementi Italia in particular, attaches to satisfy the electricity requirements for its own cement plants. Today Italcementi Italia is the third largest private producer of electricity in Italy
