Abstract :
This paper presents an outline of the recent history of the development of ocean cable system simulations, describes the features of the programs most frequently used in U.S. Navy and commercial applications, presents results representative of the presently available capability, and summarizes the capability shortfalls presently encountered and the primary development thrusts underway.
