Abstract :
The author describes the design of two types of four-bit phase shifter commonly used for phased array radar applications. The first phase shifter is a switched delay line type designed for operation over the band 2.7-3.3 GHz and is realised partially as a GaAs MMIC. The second phase shifter described is a switched filter type designed for operation over the band 4-8 GHz and will be realised wholly as a GaAs MMIC
