Abstract :
A variational expression for the equivalent admittance of an element of inclined slot arrays cut in the narrow wall of a rectangular waveguide is deduced. It takes both the external and the internal mutual couplings into account. The intensities of the internal couplings through higher order modes are investigated and compared with those of the external coupling. Effects on array properties are discussed.
