Abstract :
The carrier-to-interference ratio is studied as a stochastical variable, whose randomness results from the disturbance of the wave propagation and the fluctuation of the traffic. The mean value and variance for this random quantity are derived, and, as an example, distribution functions are calculated for a TDMA system. The result yields means to determine the capacity hidden in the system dynamics and to optimize the utilization of the available resource
