  • Abstract
    The authors describe an innovative extension of Manley´s early jitter accumulation experiment which allows significant increases in system measurement flexibility. Experimental results showing jitter accumulation effects over a synthesised 3000 km regenerated system span illustrate the diagnostic capability of the technique which should find application in a variety of high capacity optical transmission system developments
