  • Abstract
    The concept of virtual prototyping is discussed and the makeup of unit modules of virtual prototyping system of complex product and its function frame are given, as a example, structure optimization for the folded energy-absorbing tube and underframe VR design of SUV car are researched, the method how to create simulation frame, analysis and evaluation system supported by virtual prototyping system is introduced when develop complicated products. Practical application indicated this system can supply effective technology support for the development course of product.
