Abstract :
This paper addressed the development of jacquard control system for three-pile-height carpet tufting machine. The tufting machine adopts electromagnetic clutches and servo motors as yarn-delivery mechanism. Base on the jacquard principle, design the hardware of the control system, analyzed the digital control logic for servo motor and clutch base on given design pattern, and developed the control software to realize the jacquard control. Utilize industrial computer and I/O boards to control servo motor and clutches, the IPC converts pattern information into the control information, drive servo motor to real time trace the main axis rotation, controls the state of magnetic-clutch through I/O board, and get three-level loop tufting carpet.
