Abstract
A new control method for independently regulating the equivalent inductance and resistance of an active reactor based on magnetic flux control was presented, and the generating condition of negative inductance and negative resistance is also proposed. The active reactor is composed of a primary winding and a coupled compensation winding. When the current injected into the compensation winding is in phase or out of phase with the primary current, the inductance of the primary winding can be adjusted independently. When the compensation current is of orthogonal phase with the primary current, the resistance of the primary winding can be changed independently. Simulation and experiment results verify the feasibility of the independent control method.
