            Abstract :
The problem of choosing the size, K, of the frequency reuse cluster to maximize throughput performance in a mobile cellular data packet radio system is addressed. Various system characteristics and parameters which affect the optimal value, Kopt, of K are examined. It is found that Kopt is not very sensitive to many of these factors. Measures taken to reduce co-channel interference tend to lower Kopt
