Abstract :
In this paper, various interference cancellation techniques that are used in DS-CDMA are analyzed and their performance characteristics are simulated and evaluated. The conventional matched filter receiver, decorrelating detector, successive interference canceller and parallel interference canceller are considered. Combination of parallel canceller and decorrelating detector is been modeled for performance consideration & comparison. For spreading sequence, some portion of the long m-sequence generated from the primitive polynomial is used. This sequence doesn´t hold good in terms of properties and performance. To employ better spreading sequences, the gold sequences generated from the preferred pairs are also applied for the performance evaluation and comparison. For simulation, synchronous and AWGN (additive white Gaussian noise) are assumed. Performance of those interference cancellation techniques are simulated and the results are highlighted which proves to be very much suited for DS-CDMA systems.
