  • Abstract
Threat estimation of air target is the most important consideration of the warship´s commander in air defensive campaign. Because of the complexities of war and the limitation of the sensors, the target´s information obtained from C3I system of warship is incomplete and fuzzy, which make the threat estimation became a typical fuzzy question. Taking advantage of pattern recognition, a method to evaluate the threat degree of an air target is systemically introduced, and a new threat estimation model is obtained. Key steps to conceive the threat evaluating model are discussed; central factors of the air target get from the C3I system by which to estimate the threat degree are investigated respectively; the method of how to integrate all the factors is described comprenhensively. An example is presented to illustrate the computing process of the model, it also indicate the validity and advantage of the proposed approach.
