Abstract :
In this paper, the channel estimation methods to resolve the error floor for SUI-5 channel are investigated. Since the pilot allocation is solid with the FUSC model, only we can do is to incorporate two OFDM symbols to estimation the channel response, and it can improve the channel estimation performance, but it canpsilat cancel the error floor exhaustively. So we combine the preamble and pilot carrier to resolve the problem. Here we introduce slope interpolation tracing algorithm that combines preamble and pilot well for consult. Simulation result shows that the proposed algorithm and preamble only scheme can decrease the error floor for SUI_5 channel drastically when the coherent bandwidth of channel is narrow, however they canpsilat trace the fast Rayleigh fading channel. We also conclude that pilot only scheme exits error floor when the coherent bandwidth of channel is narrow though with better performance for fast Rayleigh fading channels.
