Abstract :
An overall-process settlement model, in which power function was introduced to simulate the compression settlement process, was set up in this paper, and its feasibility was verified based on experiment data. Then, the compression settlement velocity model was deduced by differentiate the compression settlement process model, based on which the relationship between the coefficient in the power function model brought forward by Dick and the initial sludge concentration and height was gained. Furthermore, a calculational method to determine the time of transition from zone settlement to compression settlement , concluded by analyzing the overall-process settlement model, has the same trend with the graphing method and was much easier.
