Abstract :
A simple and cost-effective technique to detect microwave signals in noise is introduced. The principle of this technique is digital video integration. The experimental procedure developed and the experimental results shown at 14.5 GHz are described. In this example the discernibility of the signal was at least 35 dB below the minimum detectable signal (MDS) of a HP 8551B spectrum analyzer. Methods for further discernibility improvement are suggested
