Abstract :
Statistically derived equations are presented which predict the monopulse null level in phased-array antennas in the presence of random errors. Design curves are presented to aid in establishing tolerance budgets to achieve a required null depth. A design example is given, verifying the theory with computer simulations and illustrating the utility of the design curves. It is concluded that random amplitude errors significantly affect null depth.<>
