Abstract
The paper presents a strategy for recovering the unknown parameters of the Duffing oscillator using only a measurable output signal. The suggested approach employs the construction of an integral parametrization of an auxiliary output, which is calculated by measuring the difference between the output and its respective time delayed version. First, we estimate the auxiliary output followed by the application of a modified gradient algorithm, then we adjust the gains of the proposed linear estimator in order to obtain convergence of the estimation error to zero. Convergence of the proposed scheme is shown using Lyapunov stability
