Abstract
In this paper, cancellation between the harmonic currents of AC/DC converters is analyzed. The converter behavior is univocally characterized by two normalized parameters, and therefore their influence on the harmonic current phase angles is studied. This study allows harmonic cancellation to be determined as a function of the normalized parameters. The results of the study suggest that harmonic cancellation is easily obtained between singleand three-phase uncontrolled converters, but not so easily obtained between uncontrolled and controlled converters.
