Abstract
Multicast is an effective way for increasing the efficiency of network resources utilization. But multicast in MPLS has scalability problems. To solve this problem, we introduce and propose a new mechanism in this paper that adopts label aggregation. Compared with the previous mechanism without label aggregation, it has less delay and reduces label consumption. And when applied to large scale MPLS networks, it can get a better performance.
