Abstract :
The paper continues a study initiated in and deals with the level quantization effect on accuracy of direct and fast methods of discrete Fourier transform calculation. Numerical modeling of harmonic signal´s as well as Fourier transform basis functions´ level quantization is performed. We construct and plot characteristics - dependencies of signal´s frequency, amplitude, and initial phase on the quantization levels number. The comparison of numerical test results shows that it is necessary to take into account errors due to the fast algorithm application in modern microelectronics hardware and software devices with a small number of memory cells´ bits.
