  • Abstract
The Greens function kernels in the mixed potential integral equations (MPIEs) used to calculate the current distributions of an aperture-fed stacked-patch microstrip antenna are discussed, along with numerical methods for evaluating the Green´s functions. The goal of this analysis is to construct and evaluate the Green´s functions used in the MPIEs to calculate the induced electric currents and charge distributions on the antenna patches and feed line, as well as equivalent magnetic current and charge distribution over the aperture, for a given incident current on the feed line. These distributions can then be used to determine the resonant frequency, input impedance, bandwidth, radiation pattern, and other operating characteristics of the aperture-fed stacked-patch microstrip antenna.<>
