Abstract
An integral-equation moment-method technique has been developed for rigorous analysis of horn antennas. Using this technique, one can accurately analyze a horn antenna with perfectly conducting or impedance walls, and with or without an infinite ground plane. Horn antenna performance in the case of impedance walls was investigated by using a high-permeability X-band magnetic absorbing nitrile material. The impedance tapering on the walls is shown to have a significant effect on the horn antenna pattern.<>
