It is important and difficult to develop spatial imagination and thinking ability in engineering graphics course. Try to use a new graphics teaching methods in Mechanical Engineering, which is to open engineering graphics course and Autodesk Inventor8 education three-dimensional modeling technology elective course at the same time. This paper introduces the setting conditions of Autodesk Inventor8 three-dimensional modeling technology elective course, teaching content, and teaching arrangements with engineering graphics course then analyses the significance that opens Autodesk Inventor8 three-dimensional modeling technology elective course in Engineering graphics.
