  • Abstract
Story, a form of coherent text, is hard to analyze and understand for the computer because of the intricate interaction among the sentences and its strong cognitive nature. A novel method is presented for understanding stories using psychological and narratological reflections on memory models and prose analysis. Based on the methodology an implemented story understanding program is also described. The program has been tested using a number of fables
