  • Abstract
This paper presents a prototype for dust trap from the industrial factories by applied high voltage DC switching power supply. It has been designed to remove dust, smoke or small particles with diameters in the range of 0.3 micrometer, such as tobacco smoke. The simulation test result, done by drawing the smoke of dust through the unit, has proven that the machine can trap all these dust. This confirms that the efficiency design of this dust trap apparatus gets 96.5% for the mass test. The system used IC NO. (TL 494) is signal generated. The square wave signal is brought in, to drive the power MOSFET NO.IRFP350, to induce the high frequency transformer for the output and separate ground by itself. This way it gives the flyback transformer the input needed for the output. The importance of the system is the ionization section and the dust collecting section, which are energized by a flyback transformer. It receives a direct current of 10 kV for the flyback transformer and wind velocity 168 cubic metre per hour.
