            Abstract :
Some methodical aspects of the mathematical modeling of voltage dips caused by short-circuits in LV electrical networks are considered in the paper. In the paper, the time domain simulation of the voltage dip transients is shown to be necessary for a correct assessment of prospective voltage dip characteristics in the electrical network. The fault arc as well as the current-limiting LV circuit breakers operation by short-circuits were modeled. It is shown that the transient behaviour by short-circuits of some types of electrical consumers such as asynchronous motors must be taken into account by the voltage dips considerations.
