Abstract :
A more generalized dielectric waveguide has been analyzed using the effective dielectric constant method. The dispersion characteristics have been plotted for such new structures as the diagonal dielectric guide and E-H plane dielectric guide. Experimental data show that the cutoff frequency is higher in the E-H plane dielectric guide as compared to the diagonal dielectric waveguide for identical dimensional parameter and dielectric material
