Abstract
In this paper, we present a novel system which can repair blank region after video object was moved or deleted. Its core is to recover the dynamic or static foreground object by filling the unknown region with the known information. Unlike prior methods, we fill in blank part of video sequence by spatio-temporal patches, which extend traditional concept of video technique. As the time information is introduced in the process, we can deal with video sequence arbitrarily. For a moving object, the target patch can be tracked in all video frames. Thus reduce the successor algorithm operation time. Afterwards, we apply belief propagation algorithm to find the appropriate source patches to substitute missing patches. From the experiments, we could observe the results are encouraging and the technique can be applied in many fields.
