Abstract :
The author briefly discusses the varied uses of magnetic materials in pulsed power applications, in particular magnetic pulse compression. The requirements of magnetic materials for such applications are described. Magnetic pulse sharpening is also discussed as is the use of magnetic materials in the conversion of chemically stored energy (explosives) into electricity
