Abstract
The scope of grid computing has, in the last few years, been broadened to include mobile and pervasive devices. Pervasive grid promises access to grid environment from diverse devices and end-systems, leading to the paradigm of anywhere, anytime and anyhow access. Providing multi-target user interface access to the grid would therefore, become a challenge. In this paper, we present a custom-made approach that uses dynamic interface composition in the generation of multi-target interfaces for a pervasive grid. An authoring environment named CoMADE was developed for generating user interfaces. We therefore, describe the usage of the tool and dynamics involved in runtime user interface generation. Through this, a high degree of flexibility and provision of support for direct user participation in interface generation was achieved.
