Abstract
A microprocessor controlled system for precise positioning of laser optical grating is discussed. A stepper motor controlled by a dedicated microprocessor system tunes the position of optical grating used in the optical study of Nd-Yag pumped dye lasers. The monitor program makes the system user friendly and the user can operate the system very easily. The hardware and the software of the system are explained
