Abstract :
A sensor system to facilitate the easy access of temperature signals and digital operating condition signals from refrigerated containers has been designed, fabricated and tested. The sensor system developed is capable of accurately accessing the signals. With the use of some commercially available analog signal processing modules the RMU (remote monitoring unit) is capable of being interfaced with various types of temperature-accessing sensors. The microcontroller-based RMU is able to analyze these signals including digital inputs and serially transmit the temperature and operating conditions data to the monitoring unit at a higher level when being polled
