Abstract
In this paper, we developed a analysis framework for the online auction in people-to-people (P2P) lending. In online P2P lending auctions, the bidding object is dividable in one auction, lenders bid for the privilege of supplying all or part of the requested loans. It is this characteristic that distinguishes online P2P lending auctions from other general auctions. We tackled this problem by dividing the total amount of a loan into pieces of the minimum lending amount and transformed the bidding amount into the number of bidders in general auctions. We developed an analysis framework for the online auction in P2P lending based on influencing factors and characteristics analysis. Another contribution of the paper is analyzing the corresponding bidding strategies for online P2P lending in details.
