Abstract :
The hybrid of CWDM/DWDM technologies offers a great potential solution to some of the challenges of the metro/access network with aspect of the future developments. In this paper, two variants of the CWDM system are presented. Also, some upgrade steps to the DWDM system are introduced. From a viewpoint of practical applications, these WDM hybrid systems are compared.
