Abstract :
The gigahertz transverse electromagnetic cell has been used as a suitable test environment for electromagnetic interference (EMI)/ electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) measurements. The accuracy in measurement of the radiated electric field depends on the cross-polarization characteristics of the cell. In this paper, the method of moment-based numerical technique has been used to evaluate the electric field inside the GTEM cell. The isolation between the cross-polarized electric field has been evaluated to find the test volume with the most prominent cross-polarization isolation.
