The authors discuss the approach and a programme to develop a MACROCELL and a specific transcoder device (CF70106) for voice coding in the CT2 digital cordless telephone application. They describe the development flow, including algorithm testing and refinement, and discuss ASIC design flow, giving flow diagrams and a device block diagram
