Abstract :
Antennas, when used in devices having non-planar surface, essentially requires a more non-intuitive approach. In this paper, a planar microstrip ultra wideband (UWB) antenna is conformed to non-planar structures of different shapes suitable for non-planar devices and simulated. The design procedure is derived from the basic rectangular micro strip patch antenna. From the simulations, antenna parameters such as return loss, radiation pattern, directivity and gain are analyzed when the antenna is bent in different radius of curvature and also when folded.
