Abstract
In this paper, we propose a planar antenna for realization of beam steering operating at 2.8 GHz. A planar structure of 5 radiating patches is arranged systematically to obtain highly directional patterns. A gain of 12.82 dBi has been observed from simulation. The concept of switching is implemented in order to realize the beam steering. The dimensions are further optimized so as to minimize back lobe.
