  • Abstract
    An expert system is presented for power system fault diagnosis. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated using a power system model. The proposed expert system detects the possible faults in a power system using information from relays and circuit breakers. The knowledge stored in the database can be easily changed making it flexible for different power system environments. This expert system will be a valuable tool that enables power system operators to better cope with emergencies
