Abstract :
A discussion is presented of the control of an interconnection network that is a variation of the original Clos (1953) network and consists of three states of identical k×k crossbar switches. Such networks, referred to as Clos-type interconnection networks are useful in parallel computer systems. An O(N2) algorithm for setting up such a network is proposed in this paper. The algorithm starts from the output end of the network and works back to the input end by setting up the switches on the way. The algorithm proposed can therefore be used for control of such a network
