Abstract
This paper presents an analytical method for calculating an optimal resistance for crowbar of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG). First, the impact of crowbar on rotor voltage and current and electrical torque is pointed out. Second, obtaining a value for crowbar is proposed. The algorithm in which the paper uses is based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). A typical relative importance is selected and optimization is carried out; finally, the Pareto curve is illustrated. All the simulation is done by matlab/simulink and m-file.
