Research on Performance of Chinese Enterprises Overseas Mergers and Acquisitions under the Financial Crisis: Based on Super-efficiency DEA Model

Adopting the relevant data (2007 Oct. ~ 2009 Jun.), on the background of financial crisis, employing the overseas mergers and acquisitions(M&As) of Chinese listed companies as research object, applying the input, output, and redundancy analysis under the Super-efficiency DEA model, this article makes an empirical analysis on the production efficiency of acquiring companies. We take a comparative analysis on different industries´ samples, which expose the performance of M&As on different industries. Along with the relationship research between resource allocation level and performance of M&As, from the empirical view, the article explains that integration process is vital to the forming of mergers and acquisitions´ value.
