  • Abstract
Fixed wireless communication systems often require a subscriber antenna that is compact and low-cost, but has a high antenna gain. We are present the design and measured results of a small hexagonal array, operating in the 3.45-3.60 GHz band. It was developed by Lucent Technologies for the wireless Internet access solution. The antenna consists of seven aperture-coupled patches and is mounted on a small octagonal reflector. It displays a high efficiency, low sidelobes, stray radiation and cross-polarization, and is suitable for low-cost high-volume fabrication
