Abstract
Summary form only given. In summary, we have demonstrated a new and novel fiber-based device. One interesting application is the use of this device as a wavelength band fibre splitter. These simple devices have found wide spread use in the telecommunication industry. However, with the rapid deployment of multiple wavelength systems, the need to split wavelength bands rather than single wavelengths has dramatically increased.
