  • Abstract
For some projects, to void the risk of project delay, the all the tasks should be finished as soon as possible. However, the critical chain method (CCM) requires the non critical tasks to be executed as late as possible. Therefore, adopting the merits of CCM and improving it to schedule project tasks as early as possible is a meaningful work. In this paper, a new critical chain method called active plan based critical chain method is presented. Other than the old one, the new CCM is created based on the active plan, that is, all tasks should be executed as early as possible. And then, the schedule scheme of active plan based critical chain method is given, including searching critical chain, no critical chain and setting buffers. By a project case, the schedule scheme is illustrated, and the effectiveness of the schedule scheme is verified.
