Abstract :
Korean operator has started Pre-BcN by replacement of old switching systems with access gateway (AGW), and also set-up the detail implementation plan of BcN as expansion of VoP, implementation of trunk gateway (TGW), application servers (AS), softswitch (SSW), new BcN premium backbone network, replacement of Toll/Tandem switch with TGW, 3G mobile interconnection to BcN, and integration services of wired and wireless, telecom, and broadcasting through end-to-end one packet network. BcN standard model proposes network vision, roadmap, and requirements for the network architecture, and BcN service scenario and interworking issues which were suggested at Korean operator´s BcN implementation plan. While, our trial test bed can be used for the verification of network equipments and interworking between telecom operators and vendors. Based on our standard model, Korean BcN would be improved to provide various multimedia services.
