Abstract :
The authors describe the dual scalar and quadruple scalar models of Fujitsu VP2000 series supercomputer systems. These models have unique architectural features and can provide higher throughput for a multijob environment, higher performance for multitasked single jobs, and a more flexible system configuration than conventional multiprocessor systems. Architectural features, analytical performance models, and sample timing measurements are discussed.<>
